Lakers star LeBron James out vs. Bucks with ankle injury

Tuesday night’s matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks might have significant playoff implications for the Lakers. Unfortunately for them, the team confirmed Tuesday morning that LeBron James will not play in this game as he continues to fight with the left ankle peroneal tendinopathy injury that has kept the superstar out of the game for the whole 2023–24 season.

As his 21st NBA season draws to a close, LeBron has persisted in writing NBA history. Not only did he just eclipse 40,000 career points earlier this season, but in February he was selected for his record-tying 20th All-Star team. James, who is still among the greatest in the league at 39 years old, has the Lakers in a situation where they may sneak into the playoffs through the play-in tournament.

James has averaged 25.4 points, 8.1 assists, 7.2 rebounds, and 53.0 percent from the field and 40.6 percent from three-point range in 62 games. LeBron will miss his tenth game of the season because of an injury during this game against the Bucks.
