Packers depth chart: Will rookies start at left tackle, safety……

Green Bay — Over the past week, the Packers have added 19 new players, including 11 draft picks and eight undrafted signings. With rookie minicamp approaching, let’s look at Green Bay’s updated depth chart, which includes all of the new players. Offense

Every team says they didn’t think any of their draft picks would fall as far as they did. Head coach Matt LaFleur said it about Pratt on Saturday, but this case might actually be true. The Athletic’s Dane Brugler pegged Pratt with a third/fourth-round grade and he went at pick No. 245 in the seventh. Watching Clifford and Pratt duel it out in preseason games for Green Bay’s backup job will be exhilarating, at least by NFL exhibition standards. Both are fearless gunslingers and, ironically enough, friends. They met at the Manning Passing Academy and have stayed in touch in a group chat with Titans quarterback Will Levis and others. Some friendly competition, if you will, for Packers training camp this summer.

Here’s another position where the starter is entrenched but the backup competition could get interesting in a couple of months. Dillon knows the system and has proven to be a serviceable No. 2, but he signed what amounts to a one-year deal for barely more than the veteran minimum salary to return this offseason. He’ll enter camp as Jacobs’ backup, but don’t be surprised if Lloyd opens some eyes. He showed explosive potential in college that Dillon hasn’t in the NFL, averaging 7.1 yards per carry on 116 rushes and 17.8 yards per reception on 13 catches (four catches of 30-plus yards) at USC. Wilson was last year’s preseason darling and despite flashing in games that counted, too, his only chance of making the 53-man roster seems to be if Dillon gets cut.
