Piscotty is back with the A’s on a minor-league contract, playing in Triple-A with the Las Vegas Aviators after spending time with the Louisville Bats (Reds), the San Francisco Giants during Spring Training in 2023, and then the Charlotte Knights for the majority of the 2023 season.
Since his release, Piscotty has made several stops and claimed to have learned something new from each new squad. “I had some different eyes on me, and learned some different things along the way.” Additionally, he said that he will impart his knowledge to his sons and anybody else he meets.
According to Piscotty, several players on the current Aviators team have approached him to discuss particular topics, such as hitting, plate approach, or simply running your daily business. “In particular, since I was in a minor-league camp during Spring Training. Many of the guys there had inquiries. Though I don’t have all the answers, it was wonderful to have those discussions.”
With his history with the team, it seemed like a natural fit that benefited both Piscotty and the A’s. Before the offseason, Piscotty and his agency scouted the league to find a spot for the 33-year-old outfielder.
