Sadly, American PGA Tour golfer Murray passes away at the age of thirty.

He had withdrew from this week’s Charles Schwab Challenge event on Friday due to illness.

With his victory at the Sony Open in Hawaii, he achieved his second career title and rose to a career-high position of 46 in the world.
Murray revealed he had been dealing with mental health problems after that win.
At the time, he stated, “My parents have basically been through hell and back for the last six years with me fighting some mental stuff.”
“It’s difficult for me, and the people who care about me don’t want to see me suffer. They have been my staunchest allies. A few acquaintances have also attended, which adds to the specialness of these occasions.”
In 2021, he added on social media that he was undergoing alcoholism treatment.
Top-ranked golfer Scottie Scheffler gave homage following the conclusion of his third round in Fort Worth.
“Obviously the news hasn’t really sunk in quite yet, but I’m thinking about his family and praying hard for all of them,” added the American.
“I have no idea how tough this moment is. Over the past six months or so, I got to know Grayson a little more. I’m thinking about his family, and I find it difficult to express how terrible and horrible this is.”
According to Webb Simpson, another American player, the two had known one another since they were young kids.
“I’m super thankful for getting some good time with him before the bad news of today,” he said.
Luke Donald, the captain of Europe’s Ryder Cup team and an English golfer, posted on social media, describing the news of Grayson Murray’s passing as “truly devastating.”
“A few months ago, he asked me for tips on how to play Augusta. Last week, I ran into him at the PGA Championship. Life is really very precious.” I send my sympathies and thoughts to his entire family, hoping they find some comfort.”
Watson, a two-time major winner, expressed his sadness at learning of Grayson Murray’s loss.
“Life is so fleeting. At the Masters, I was just giving you a hug and telling you how proud I am of you. I’m glad I got to know you.”
