The 36th USA TODAY Ad Meter competition, which assesses the Super Bowl advertisements annually, attracted over 160,000 voter registrations. With a score of 6.68, “Like a Good Neighbaaa,” featuring Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger, from State Farm was victorious in 2024.

On Sunday night, CBS aired Super Bowl 58, which featured an estimated 123.7 million viewers. Kansas City won the game with a touchdown pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes to tight end Mecole Hardman in the final seconds of overtime. With an average of 120.3 million viewers on CBS alone, the show had the highest viewership for a single-network telecast ever. An additional 2.3 million people turned in to Univision’s Spanish-language show, while 1.2 million watched Nickelodeon’s kid-friendly version.
The previous viewership record set the previous year was surpassed by the TV audience, which peaked at the end of the fourth quarter when the Chiefs drove for a game-tying field goal with three seconds remaining to force overtime. The Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in front of an average audience of over 115 million people on Fox, Fox Deportes, and streaming platforms.

Super Bowl 58 was seen in full or in part by 202.4 million people on all platforms, breaking the previous record of 184 million. The game was the most streamed Super Bowl ever thanks in part to the record-breaking crowd onParamount+.
The game’s competitiveness and the participation of some well-known players, like Mahomes and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, probably helped draw in a sizable crowd on Sunday. Taylor Swift, the famous singer, who is Kelce’s girlfriend, may have also contributed to the event.
The NFL had a fantastic season in terms of television ratings, which was capped off with the record-breaking Super Bowl. According to Nielsen, the league averaged 17.9 million viewers for each regular-season game; overall viewership increased by 7.4% from the previous campaign.
