Collingwood has today signed key forward Tim Membrey on the opening day of the AFL’s Delisted Free Agency Period.
The 30-year-old has penned a two-year deal that will see him at the Pies until the end of 2026.
Membrey played 178 games across a decade with the Saints after arriving at the club as a delisted free agent from the Sydney Swans.
The forward has booted an incredible 293 goals and was the Saints’ leading goalkicker on three occasions (2016, 2017, 2019). He has acquired 17 Brownlow votes across his career.
Membrey is a respected leader across the league having served in the Saints’ leadership team for five years, with two as Co-Vice Captain.
“We are pleased to welcome Tim to Collingwood,” Collingwood Head of Football Strategy, Innovation and List Management Justin Leppitsch said.
“We have been in discussion with Tim for some time and we have identified him as key talent for our list’s needs.
“Above his football ability, Tim is a quality individual and strong leader, which we know will complement our program.
“We welcome Tim, his wife Emily, and their children Wren and Beau to our Club, and we look forward to introducing them to our Collingwood family when we return for pre-season training come November.”
