Three Michigan football players make 247Sports All-Transfer Portal team….
For 2023, Michigan signed eight outstanding players through the transfer portal. The Wolverines did a fantastic job of assembling the ideal roster to go with their already strong group.
Three Michigan athletes made the coveted All-Transfer Portal Team roster when 247Sports released its roster for the next year.
One of the three offensive lineman the Wolverines brought in ended up on the list. The first Wolverine selected was Arizona State guard LaDarius Henderson.
G LaDarius Henderson (rated 93 and considered as the 18th best player)
Though he did not enroll during the winter semester in time for spring, it is safe to assume that Michigan’s second-best-rated transfer signee will maintain the left tackle position this season. This Ann Arbor offensive line room, which takes great satisfaction in being brutal in the trenches, was awarded the Joe Moore Award the previous season for setting the stage for Michigan’s potent rushing attack and its second consecutive Big Ten championship. Henderson is a typical example.
Henderson started 29 games in his four years at Arizona State (19 at LG and 10 at LT). For the maize and blue, Henderson is expected to replace Ryan Hayes in the left tackle position. Henderson was accused of permitting just two sacks on the quarterback in his final two seasons at ASU.
Ernest Hausmann of Nebraska is the next Wolverine to be included on the All-Transfer Portal Team. At just two years old, he is maybe Michigan’s best acquisition.
Ernest Hausmann, LB (96 rating, No. 4 ranked player)
Hausmann, a top-five transfer, is in a noteworthy depth chart position with the Wolverines. Because of Jim Harbaugh’s ability to make significant adjustments in this room this fall, Hausmann’s by-snap output may soar, making the team a preseason playoff contender. Since he is only a sophomore, watch for him to become well-known around the country in the upcoming seasons.
As a true freshman, Hausmann participated in all 12 games during his final season with the Huskers, starting seven of them. His 10 tackles in the Big House game versus Michigan the previous year set him up for a 54-tackle season as a freshman.
James Turner, a former kicker for Louisville, is the final player to make the list. The Wolverines were destined to start freshman Adam Samaha after Michigan lost Jake Moody to the NFL, but he now faces opposition.
K James Turner, with an 83-point rating
You already know that Harbaugh has a thing for kickers. With two-time All-American and 2021 Lou Groza Winner Jake Moody coming off the NFL (where the 49ers selected him in the third round!), here comes Turner from Louisville, who went 20 for 22 as a junior and made 80% of his kicks in three years with the Cardinals.

Turner received an honorable mention All-ACC selection twice during his four seasons as a player for the Cardinals. During his three years as a Louisville starter, he completed 47 out of 59 field goal attempts.
