2025 Miami Hurricanes recruitment updates, discussions, and targets

Miami just finished two consecutive seasons as a top recruiting class. With the class of 2025, Mario Cristobal and his coaching team hope to win three straight. Miami is recruiting across the country, but UM is also giving priority.

Recruiting from South Florida and the Sunshine State is one of the most important places. Stick with All Hurricanes as we update top class of 2025 prospects and Miami’s efforts to attract them to Coral Gables.

Now that the 2025 recruiting cycle is underway, many prospects will be posting visits, offers, and even college predictions on their websites. The significance of the last point is that Tarvos Alford, a prominent Miami linebacker recruit, is now anticipated to go a Big 10 university.

Alford is another example of how Ohio State has actively recruited from the Sunshine State for a very long time. Two Florida recruits from the 2024 cycle were added by the Buckeyes, including Miami Gardens, Florida’s Jeremiah Smith, a standout wide receiver at Chaminade-Madonna.

Without a doubt, Miami is making every effort to retain players like Alford at home. He has been a top prospect for the Canes and is a graduate of Vero Beach (Fla.) High School. On January 27, the 210-pound, 6-foot-2 defender is scheduled to attend Miami’s junior day.

National recruits Dallas Wilson of Tampa, Florida, and Kayden Strayhorn of Bradenton, Florida, of IMG Academy, an offensive lineman, are also on that list.
