In the 2025 recruiting cycle, Florida head coach Billy Napier and the Gators staff have three early commitments. This weekend’s success will help them continue to build on the class going ahead. For junior day on Saturday, many of the program’s primary objectives were present in town.
And the people 247Sports spoke with said they had a good time.
Quarterback Keelon Russell of Duncanville (Texas) High, a Lone Star state champion who earned an offer during his trip, may have had the best fun of any. Russell dominates defenses, racking up 3,267 yards and 35 touchdowns to only three interceptions while playing against some of the top players in the nation.

With National Signing Day on Wednesday, the college football 2024 recruiting cycle will soon come to a conclusion. Seven of the top 25 overall recruiting classes in the country belong to the newly enlarged Big Ten. And while the two powers continue to distance themselves from the rest of the competition, even though it may be far less than in the SEC, it is still the second-most in all other leagues.
The Big Ten has a good chance of winning a national title again in 2024, following Michigan’s victory. This is due to a combination of high-end incoming recruits and transfer portal additions. The 2024 high school recruiting class includes five five-star players who will play next season in the Big Ten. The league cleared most of nine of the top twelve prospects in the transfer portal’s talent ranking have committed to Big Ten programs.
