Rodgers says Celtic fan anger can’t distract players.
After the champions lost to Aberdeen at Pittodrie, Brendan Rodgers insists the players cannot let fan unhappiness with the club’s board derail them from their title pursuit.
Before and after the 1-1 draw, the traveling supporters displayed a banner and chanted anti-Celtic board slogans, their ire stemming from the lack of signings made during the January transfer window.
Nick Kuhn, one of the two new players, did score after entering the game off the bench. Adam Idah, another new player, set him up for the equalizer.
Despite this, the fans’ sentiments were evident throughout the afternoon, and Rodgers maintains that his team cannot allow the spectators’ behavior to divert their attention.
Rodgers stated, “I can only focus on the players and what we do on the field.”
“You usually find that playing well and winning games can help to soothe those difficulties, and that is our goal. “Supporters are entitled to speak whatever they want to say since they have paid for it.
However, we are solely in charge of what we do on the field. We’ll be fine if we follow it.
The important thing is to keep it from taking our attention away from it. That is very significant. You have to be prepared to handle everything that happens outdoors.
“There will always be that pressure at the top clubs, like Celtic. There is no need for me to increase the number of players. They know that’s what it takes to play for Celtic.
Giving them the confidence to find the outcomes we require is my responsibility.
“There’s a long way to go yet.”

Though he pleaded with supporters not to place the blame on anyone, Brendan Rodgers said the club’s hiring could have been “braver”.
However, the message to the Parkhead powerbrokers was very clear, therefore such appeals were ignored. And the issues at the park as a whole were included in the frustrations. Rangers’ lead in the Premiership title chase has shrunk to just three points with one game remaining after a 1-1 draw at Granite City. The Light Blues can top the table until at least the next evening if they defeat Aberdeen by three goals on Tuesday.
Hart maintained that he and his teammates didn’t lose sight of the game despite the fact that he could scarcely pretend not to have noticed. “It’s not at all a distraction for the players,” he stated. It’s obvious that we notice it; the banner was a respectable size.
However, they must figure that out for the benefit of the support. As players, we maintain our focus, and the staff and management have tasks to complete. And that’s all we’re thinking about.
After recently losing their manager, Aberdeen had a lot to work on and prove today. The game was always going to be difficult. However, the help is available to us.
