The Green Bay Packers’ 2023–24 season came to a bittersweet conclusion. The Packers, who many had written off halfway through the season, went 7-3 over their final 10 games (including playoffs) to secure a spot in the playoffs, defeat the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card round, and lose to the San Francisco 49ers by three points in the conference final.

There is now a rumor circulating that the Packers have chosen to bring on a 49ers employee.

The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman claims that:

According to a source, the Packers have appointed Aaron Hill, an assistant strength coach with the 49ers, as their new head of strength and conditioning.

Hill collaborated with head strength and conditioning coach Dustin Perry during his five seasons with the 49ers.

The 49ers acquired the injury-plagued running back Christian McCaffrey in a trade during the 2022 trade deadline. McCaffrey played three games with Carolina in 2021 and seven with Carolina in 2020. He won the NFL’s Offensive Player of the Year award with the 49ers in 2023 after rushing for 1,459 yards, gathering 2,023 yards, touching the ball 339 times, and scoring 21 touchdowns.

Trent Williams, an All-Pro left tackle for the 49ers, has missed nine games throughout his four seasons with the organization. He was injured over the last four years of his Washington career, missing fifteen games.
When it comes to getting healthy, Christian Watson, the standout wide receiver, is the first person that springs to mind in Green Bay. Over his first two seasons, Watson has missed a great deal of games because of hamstring issues that have persisted. This Packers offense instantly elevates to a new level if #9 can play and remain healthy.

Chris Gizzi is replaced by Hill. Gizzi was elevated from his former role as assistant coach to lead strength and conditioning coach following LaFleur’s appointment as coach in 2019.
On February 1, general manager Brian Gutekunst stated, “I do want to say Chris Gizzi’s an outstanding strength coach and couldn’t have more respect for him.” “I believe that occasionally a different voice is necessary. Yes, that is a significant portion of our procedure. The influence those guys have on our players is significant, and it is crucial that our players support what we are doing here.
