breaking news.;Florida Gators’ 2024 football schedule released. It’s a doozy
The 2024 football schedule for the Florida Gators was revealed on Wednesday, and it is unsurprisingly among the hardest in program history. At the conclusion of the conference championship season, six opponents were included in the Associated Press’ Top 25; five of them were listed in the top 13.Billy Napier’s third season’s tough non-conference slate, which includes three Power Five opponents, was previously revealed. Beginning on August 31, the program will play their first game versus Miami since they faced off in Orlando to begin the 2019 season. The non-conference schedule for Florida also features a game at UCF on October 5 and concludes against Florida State on November 30. The UCF matchup is the first meeting between the two institutions in Gainesville since 2006. Texas A&M will be the opponent in the Gators’ SEC debut at home. In addition, Aggies coach Mike Elko, who took Jimbo Fisher’s place, will be making his SEC debut.
The two free dates for Florida are September 28 and the customary time before the Georgia game in Jacksonville.
For the first time since 1940, the Gators will travel to Texas on November 9.
Another noteworthy previously confirmed game is USF’s September trip to Alabama.
