But Sancho finally ended his goal drought against Werder Bremen, and it was also a really wonderful goal. But not all of the Man Utd flops who participated in the match had a pleasant experience.
With a neat burst of pace, Sancho beat his man and slotted the ball past Werder goalkeeper Michael Zetterer with ease. Donyell Malen, a guy Man Utd will regret not signing in January, opened the scoring with an odd bicycle kick that miraculously nutmegged the keeper. The 23-year-old’s goal turned out to be the game-winning goal.
Though Justin Njinmah, who had strangely spent the previous season on loan at Dortmund, scored, BVB prevailed in the end thanks to Sancho’s strike. Marcel Sabitzer, a man who is now forgotten, made their mission much more difficult.

Bremen used young Isak Hansen-Aarøen as a stand-in. He was once touted as the future Martin Odegaard. The 19-year-old left Manchester United to join the Bundesliga’s biggest team in January, but he hasn’t played for his new team yet.
