Steelers’ Mike Tomlin will discuss his coaching …
It looks like Mike Tomlin’s future with the Pittsburgh Steelers is still up in the air. According to NBC Sports, Tomlin, who has one year left on his current contract, will talk to his family this summer about his future before deciding on the 2024 season and beyond.
After this season, Tomlin will decide if he wants to stay on as the Steelers’ coach. It is said that Pittsburgh’s management wants to extend his contract in the offseason. According to a recent report, Tomlin might think about taking a short leave of absence from coaching following this season.
The 51-year-old Tomlin is now the NFL’s longest-tenured coach with one team now that the Patriots and Bill Belichick parted ways. Tomlin has been the Steelers’ head coach since 2007. During his time in Pittsburgh, the Steelers have won one Super Bowl, two AFC titles, seven division titles and have appeared in the playoffs 11 times. Tomlin’s 17 straight seasons without a losing season is the most in NFL history for a first-time head coach.
At minimum, Tomlin has coached the Steelers for a greater number of games. On Monday, Pittsburgh and the Bills will square off in a Wild Card Weekend match.
