Atletico Madrid will reportedly look to sign 27-year old Dani Ceballos…
Defensa Central, a Spanish publication, has reported that Atletico Madrid is interested in Dani Ceballos. Due to his decreasing playing time this season, the 27-year-old’s future at the Santiago Bernabeu is doubtful. The Colchoneros are prepared to spend between €15 and €18 million during the summer transfer window to acquire his services.
The 27-year-old has never been a first-choice midfielder for Real Madrid and only enjoyed an extended run as a starter when he spent two years on loan at Arsenal. There were some promising signs last season, compelling him to sign a new contract with Real Madrid. But Ceballos has managed only 505 minutes of game time across 21 appearances thus far this term.
Therefore, it should come as no surprise that numerous reports claim the Spanish midfielder will most certainly depart Real Madrid during the summer transfer window. The Merengues allegedly want to part ways with him for between €18 and €20 million. Also, Ceballos’s services will be sought after by Atletico Madrid in advance of the 2024–2025 campaign.
Atletico Madrid’s interest in Dani Ceballos is understandable. The Colchoneros want to make a few changes to their first-team squad in the summer transfer window to become title challengers again. While the 27-year-old Spaniard has not enjoyed his spell with Real Madrid, he is still a serviceable asset.
Ceballos is thus a viable target for Atletico Madrid heading into the summer transfer window. And the Rojiblancos are willing to fork out €15-18 million to secure the Spanish midfielder’s services.
It is unclear if Real Madrid will be ready to recoup €15-18 million to part ways with Ceballos in the summer transfer window. But the 27-year-old Spaniard will likely depart from the Santiago Bernabeu.
