The Watt family is growing.
Pewaukee native and former Wisconsin Badgers football star J.J. Watt and his wife, Kealia Ohai Watt, announced on Thursday that they are expecting their first child.
J.J., who is entering his 12th NFL season this fall, posted on his Instagram and Twitter accounts that he “could not be more excited.” The posts were accompanied by four pregnancy photos of the couple.
The announcement comes a day after JJ was part of the broadcast team for the celebrity golf event that featured fellow NFL stars Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen.

Kealia, 30, is a professional soccer player with the Chicago Red Stars. She is recovering from a torn ACL at the end of the 2021 season. She previously played with the Houston Dash.
Given their parents’ athletic achievements, the question now is whether their future son or daughter will be a football player like dad or a soccer player like mom.
