Here’s what the Packers got in the 2024 NFL Draft……

Green Bay, the home team of the Packers, brought 11 players and a lot of what they were searching for to the 2024 NFL Draft. Versatility: Travis Glover, a sixth-round pick, and Jacob Monk, a fifth-round prospect who can play guard or center, both played several positions in college. First-round offensive lineman Jordan Morgan will start his career at left tackle but can also play guard. General Manager Brian Gutekunst stated, “We’d love to have our entire (O-line) group be able to play all five spots.” “I believe we’ve done a decent job of approaching that.” Both third-round pick Ty’Ron Hopper and second-round pick Edgerrin Cooper are athletic run-stoppers who can play either strong or weak side of the field in coverage.

  1. While fifth-round pick Kitan Oladapo can play deep or in the box, second-round pick Javon Bullard and fourth-round pick Evan Williams are thought of as three-position guys who can play safety spots and nickel corners.
  2. For good reason, the Packers look for and highly value position flexibility while assembling their draft board. At times, this game resembles an attrition war. According to vice president of player personnel Jon-Eric Sullivan, “you know you’re going to have injuries.” “You can plug guys in and get your best four, five, or six, depending on what package you’re in, on the field when you get those movable components.”
  3. Character and leadership: During their collegiate careers, Williams at Fresno State (before transferring to Oregon), Hopper at Missouri, Morgan at Arizona, Monk at Duke, and Oladapo at Oregon State all served as team captains. The Packers can better understand the kind of guys they are adding to a group of seasoned professionals just by looking at that status.
