Julius Poppinga, the 17-year-old son of Green Bay Packers linebacker Brady, who won a Super Bowl, passed away due to a severe asthma attack.

His Westlake High football coach, Mark Serve, was mentioned by the Los Angeles Times after the devastating news was confirmed by his sister in an emotional Instagram post.

The Ventura County Star said that he had been hospitalized due to a severe asthma episode that resulted in a collapsed lung.

Like his well-known father, Julius was a defensive end in football who also played lacrosse.

The enormous amount of love, generosity, compassion, athleticism, knowledge, dependability, regard for others, sincerity, loyalty, and friendly qualities Julius possesses are beyond words, Jasmine posted on Instagram on Wednesday.

He is the most wonderful older brother to my younger sisters and the best younger brother I could ever hope for. His warm, loving energy constantly brightens the space around him.

He has consistently been a fantastic teammate who is very supportive, both on and off the football and lacrosse fields. Even on my worst days, he always manages to make me grin or laugh.

“Everyone who gets to know Julius and all of his achievements in this life has been fortunate.” It has been difficult to find a positive spin on this tragic event, but rather than mourning, I would prefer to honor his 17 amazing and beautiful years on this planet and all the contributions he made to my family, my friends, his peers, teammates, teachers, coaches, and everyone else he came into contact with.

‘Julius’s kind and encouraging qualities have helped me all my life. Being his sister and closest friend makes me incredibly proud.

Though I miss him more than anyone could ever know, it gives me peace to know that God is in charge of Julius’s beautiful soul. Sometimes the way life unfolds in the hands of God and our guardian angels is not what we would wish or anticipate.

“I don’t know if I will ever have the precise explanation for why something so abrupt would happen like this, and I don’t have the answers right now.” I have faith that God, the universe, and all other higher forces will provide for Julius and that he will be there to soothe and watch after my family.

When Serve, Julius’s football coach, visited this week, he told the L.A. Times that his player did not want to talk about anything health-related.

Serve stated, “He didn’t want to talk about his health.” “He desired to discuss football.” We discussed his return to the field. I was sending him texts last night, on Tuesday, saying “I love you.” I was informed of the news this morning, Wednesday.
