The Los Angeles Lakers had built up some much-needed momentum heading into the All-run break, going 6-1 and riding a three-game winning run.

They will now take on the struggling Golden State Warriors on the road to begin the unofficial second half of the season.

However, the Lakers had cause for hope heading into the All-Star break, as LeBron James is now sidelined due to a left ankle ailment.

However, Austin Reaves has shown glimpses of being able to take the game by storm, while Anthony Davis has been a major contributor all season long.

With a 6-1 record and a three-game winning streak going into the All-Star break, the Los Angeles Lakers had gained some much-needed momentum.

The unofficial second half of the season will now start on the road when they take on the faltering Golden State Warriors.

But, with LeBron James currently out due to a left ankle injury, the Lakers had hope going into the All-Star break.

But while Anthony Davis has been a key player for the entire season, Austin Reaves has shown flashes of being ready to take the game by storm.

With James absent, Davis will undoubtedly rack up points. with addition to being one of the Lakers’ best scorers and rebounds, the All-Star big man will also be needed to assist with the team’s ball distribution.

Davis is well-positioned to record a few assists when taking into account the Warriors’ diminutive front line. However, on January 27, when the Lakers overcame the Warriors in double overtime, Davis only contributed three assists.
