The victim’s son is said to have attacked and stabbed their sibling, who was bleeding to death, according to a call the family got from neighbours.

A 30-year-old man is wanted by the police in relation to the horrific stabbing death of his parents on Wednesday of last week.
On that day, John Hani Mashifana, 72, of Mamelodi is said to have been attacked and fatally stabbed. In addition, his wife was stabbed and required hospitalisation.

Tim Mashifana, John’s brother, claimed to have received a call from neighbours informing him that his brother was dying from internal bleeding after being attacked and stabbed—possibly by his kid.

“When we got there, the police were there, and our brother was lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds to his face, neck, and stomach.”

According to Tim, they found out from tenants and neighbours that a man who appeared to be the victim’s son arrived early in the morning at around 5:00 and demanded money from his father.

Tim stated that a guest who was staying on the premises heard the assault and succeeded in subduing the attacker while yelling for assistance. The culprit left the area.

He declared that a case of murder and attempted murder was being investigation by the police.

“One eyewitness has been identified, and the man is wanted for stabbing both victims with a knife and glass bottle.” c stated, “The suspect is still at large.”

Because his brother “died like a dog,” the victim’s sibling stated that the family was seeking justice.

“He was killed mercilessly and without regret.”

The Mashifana family claimed they were still in shock and that they had no idea this would happen.
