Coventry City are braced for interest in United States international striker Haji Wright, with multiple Premier League clubs reportedly tracking the forward ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old has been in scintillating form for the Sky Blues this season, netting 19 goals and registering 6 assists in 30 Championship appearances as Coventry push for promotion back to the top flight. Wright is understood to be on the radar of Everton and Brentford, both of whom are looking to bolster their attacking ranks ahead of next season.
Wright joined Coventry from Turkish side Antalyaspor in 2024 and has quickly become a fan favourite at the CBS Arena, playing a pivotal role in the club’s strong start to the campaign. He is contracted until 2028, with Coventry believed to have placed an asking price of approximately £20 million on their star forward to deter premature approaches.
Speaking at a press conference, Coventry manager Mark Robins stated: “Haji is a vital member of our squad and we’re doing everything we can to keep him here as we chase promotion. We respect that top-flight interest comes with the territory when players perform as he has, but our focus remains firmly on achieving our goals this season.”
Sources suggest Wright is keen to test himself in the Premier League long-term, though he has committed to seeing out the current campaign with Coventry. No formal offers have been made by interested clubs, but preliminary discussions over potential summer moves are said to be underway.
